Jason B. Van Ittersum, M.D.

He graduated with honors from the University of Michigan Medical School, where he received the William B. Taylor Award for Excellence in Dermatology, was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and was honored with the Hewlett-Packard Award, given to the top 5 graduates of each medical school class.

Dr. Van Ittersum completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Michigan, where he received extensive training from world-recognized authorities in medical dermatology, cutaneous oncology and surgical and cosmetic dermatology, including the latest advances in laser techniques. He resides in Spring Lake with his wife Koryn (a local family physician) and their daughters.

Rob A. Gielczyk, M.D.

Dr. Gielczyk grew up in Holland and graduated from West Ottawa High School.  He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and graduated with honors from the University of Michigan Medical School.  During medical school, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, an honor bestowed upon only the top 5% of medical students at the institution. 

Dr. Gielczyk then completed his dermatology residency at the University of Michigan, where he received comprehensive training in medical dermatology, cutaneous and surgical oncology, and cosmetic dermatology.  Recognizing his outstanding skills as a dermatologist, he was asked to remain as faculty, and accordingly spent the next year as a clinical lecturer and staff physician at the University, where he was actively involved in the education and training of future dermatologists.  During this year, he was also the acting chief of dermatology at the Ann Arbor Veterans Administration Hospital.  Dr. Gielczyk is extremely happy to be back on the west side of Michigan, where he, wife Jennifer Vis, M.D. and their daughters have family and friends, and welcomes the opportunity to serve our community.

Jennifer L. Vis, M.D.

Vis, M.D. Dr. Vis was born and raised on a small farm in Zeeland, and graduated from Zeeland High School in 1995.  After receiving degrees in biology and psychology from Grand Valley State University, she joined her future husband at the University of Michigan Medical School.  While in medical school, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, an honor reserved for the top 5% of the class. 

Dr. Vis also completed her dermatology residency at the University of Michigan.  She resides in West Olive with her husband Dr. Gielczyk and their daughters. She is excited to be serving the dermatologic needs of the West Michigan community.

Nicole M. Bossenbroek, M.D.

Dr. Bossenbroek grew up in Muskegon and is an alumnus of Western Michigan Christian High School.  She graduated with an honors degree in biology from Calvin College, and attended the Medical College of Wisconsin.  She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received several other honors, including the Hiram B. Benjamin Award and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists Award for the highest scores in anatomy and pathology.

Dr. Bossenbroek's dermatology training was completed at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, where she received a C.S. Livingood Dermatology Award as the highest-ranked resident in her graduating class.  Her Dermatopathology fellowship was completed at New York University Hospital Medical Center, where she trained with an internationally-recognized expert in melanoma.  She then spent two years on staff at the University of Connecticut Medical Center, practicing a combination of dermatology and dermatopathology.  She now resides in Ada with her husband Matt and their three children.

Timothy S. Wang, M.D.

Wang, M.D. Dr. Wang served for seven years as the Director of Dermatologic Surgery and the ACGME approved Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (Mohs) Fellowship program at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore. He specializes in the surgical treatment of skin cancer and is a board certified dermatologist and a two-year American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) fellowship trained Mohs surgeon. Over the years, he has been directly involved in training numerous residents and fellows.

Dr. Wang received his medical training at Wayne State University, and completed residency and fellowship training at the University of Michigan where he also completed two years of melanoma specialty training. From 1999-2009, he served on faculty at the University of Michigan as Co-Director of the Cutaneous Surgery Unit and Multidisciplinary Melanoma Program, and Director of the American College of Mohs Surgery and Procedural Dermatology Fellowship Programs. He has lectured widely on the treatment of skin cancer and reconstruction, and has published many journal articles and book chapters. Since 2011, he has served on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Panel helping to write national guidelines for the treatment of Basal cell carcinoma, Squamous cell carcinoma, Melanoma, and rare tumors such as Merkel cell carcinoma, Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. He has been selected in Best Doctors since 2003.
 
Dr. Wang is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
 
Dr. Wang is happy and proud to be back in Michigan where he grew up with his wife and two young sons.

Katherine L. Foster, D.O.

Dr. Foster was raised in rural Illinois and is happy to call western Michigan her new home. She is board certified in both dermatology and pediatric dermatology and completed all of her post-graduate training in the Detroit area. She graduated from the University of Iowa and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a dermatology residency through Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (Botsford Hospital) and a fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital.

Dr. Foster has published several articles on pediatric dermatology and has authored book chapters on both adult and pediatric conditions. She enjoys caring for people of all ages and is passionate about delivering medical care for underserved populations. She participates in international medical missions, as well as volunteering with the local Red Cross and animal shelters. She resides in Grand Rapids with her beloved goldendoodle, Apollo, and her husband, Michael, who is an ENT physician in the area.

Julie M. Murray-Dull, PA-C

After obtaining undergraduate degrees in both Spanish and biology from Hope College in Holland, MI, she earned her Master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Arcadia University in Philadelphia, PA.

Julie and the physicians at Lakeshore Dermatology work together as a team, and are able to provide greater access to our patients having her as a part of the practice.  Julie is an expert at evaluating and treating dermatologic conditions, conducting patient follow-up care and performing laser and dermatologic surgery. She particularly enjoys being able to spend time educating patients. In her free time, Julie's life revolves around her daughter and son, although she used to enjoy traveling, running, tennis, and walks with her Westie dog Daisy!

Leah E. Lillmars, PA-C

Leah is a Muskegon native and graduated from Mona Shores High School, after which she headed to the University of Michigan and obtained her Bachelor of Science in anthropology and zoology.  Her love of travel and philanthropy led her to join the Peace Corps, and she spent two and a half years as a health volunteer in Madagascar.  Upon returning to the states, she continued her education and completed her masters of Physician Assistant studies at Grand Valley State University.  She is now back in Norton Shores with her husband Jason and their three active children.

Kimberly Bonney

Image related to Kimberly Bonney Kimberly has been a licensed esthetician since 2004, and a licensed nail technician since 2005.  She has received advanced training in medical esthetics, facial peels, waxing, make-up application and nail treatments.  Kim truly enjoys educating patients on the products and procedures that we offer, as well as customizing facial treatments that benefit each individual.  She has extensive knowledge in the cosmetic treatments we offer and will help guide you through a consultation for any of your cosmetic dermatology needs. 
In her free time Kim enjoys camping, traveling, playing with her young son, and salmon fishing with her husband, Dana on their charter boat in Grand Haven.

Karen Tiefenthal

Karen is a board-certifed Cosmetologist who received her training at the Peggy White School of Cosmetology.  Karen enjoys educating her clients about the services and products available to them at Lakeshore Dermatology.  Karen's area of expertise is in providing services to the nails such as Manicure and Pedicure. 

Karen resides in Norton Shores with her husband Paul and their children.

Susan Snider

Image related to Susan Snider Susan Snider is a licensed, board-certified Manual Massage Therapist. Trained at Blue Heron Academy in Grand Rapids, Susan has been practicing since 2006. She specializes in the treatment of soft-tissue injuries, scoliosis, neck pain, shoulder and back pain as well as relaxation therapies. Susan has three grown children and lives in North Muskegon with her husband and menagerie of animals.
